Further to my message on 30/7 advising of my impending retirement, I have great pleasure in introducing my replacement – Karla Gichard.

Karla joined us on August 10th and brings with her a wealth of CEO and management experience. She has been eagerly soaking up how we do things here at ESL and meeting all our staff (no mean feat these days with 7 sites and 80+ staff). Karla looks forward to meeting many of you in person at our Christmas client functions (Yes we are planning these already!!).

For you there will be no change, the same exceptional service and the same person looking after your school.
For me the exit is getting nearer – I will be on deck until October 9th (albeit in a supporting role from Monday 7th) – I can’t wait – the fishing rods, golf clubs, tramping boots and passport are waiting for me!!!

I will be carrying on as a Director of Education Services for at least 2 years to provide support and continuity.

After 32 wonderful years with Education Services Limited, including the past 18 years as Managing Director, I have made the decision to retire this October.

While I am looking forward to spending more time with family, travelling, fishing, and enjoying a few new adventures, leaving ESL is certainly bittersweet. It has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated staff and to support the many schools and organisations that have placed their trust in us over the years.

The Board of Directors is currently undertaking a recruitment process to appoint my successor, and I look forward to introducing the new Chief Executive Officer once the appointment has been finalized in the coming months.

Until then, it is very much business as usual. Our experienced team remains committed to providing the high level of service and support that our clients have come to expect from Education Services.
