Wayne Costello Chairman Board of Directors
Wayne was the first Managing Director of Education Services Ltd – a position he held for 19 years until his “semi retirement” in June 2008.
Wayne’s 40 years in education administration equipped him well to lead a very caring and enthusiastic team at Education Services (and general manager of the Wanganui Education board prior to that). He now calls on his wealth of knowledge and the numerous contacts he possesses to continue to assist the company in a marketing role.
Wayne also continues as chairman of the Board of Directors.

Brett
Smith Wanganui Finance Manager
Brett is a foundation Director of Education Services. He is
a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.
Brett has a wealth of education reporting experience and accordingly
has had a key role in developing client reports. A significant
focus for Brett is the preparation of client annual financial
statements
he exercises a similar function for the companys
accounts.

Anne Chyrton Associate Finance Manager

Jo Anne joined Education Services in September 2003, with previous accounting and audit experience in the Chartered Accounting profession. Jo Anne holds a National Certificate in Business Computing, National Diploma in Business and graduated with a MBA from Massey University.
Jo Anne's role at Education Services is to provide support to the Finance manager, provide leadership of the Finance team, and manage the resourcing of the Finance division on a daily basis. Jo Anne is also responsible for the preparation of client annual financial statements.

Karen Harrington Client Recoveries Officer

Karen joined Education Services in September 2006 having previous office experience working for a production company. Karen holds a Diploma in Business Studies and is enjoying applying her accounting education to her current position. She is looking forward to furthering her studies as she feels "that you are never too old to learn".
Karen's role involves client recoveries, bank reconciliation and other associated tasks. She also provides support within the Finance Division and has responsibility for some processing and reporting requirements.

Gibson Client Accounts Officer

Ellen is the most senior client accounts officer in Wanganui
she has been with the company from the beginning. Ellen has
individual responsibility for around 25 clients and five of
these are secondary schools. The main purpose of Ellens
role is to provide clients with an accurate, efficient monthly
accounting service
which leads to a stress free end
of year audit process.

Kerry joined the team in 1994 having previously worked as a
school office secretary for nine years. Kerry has individual
responsibility for around 25 clients including secondary and
intermediate schools. The main purpose of Kerrys role
is to provide clients with an accurate, efficient monthly accounting

work that she enjoys.

purpose of Diannes role is to provide clients with an
accurate, efficient monthly accounting service

Jenny Tutaki Client Accounts Officer

Prior to starting with Education Services Jenny worked in an administrative and co-ordination role in business and economic development in the Wanganui Region.
Jenny returned to Education Services in March 2005 having previously worked with Education Services as the Administrator for the Non Enrolled Truancy Service (NETS). She has now moved on to a Client officer role. Jenny is responsible for the delivery of client’s monthly financial reports, which includes processing receipts and payments, SUE Reports, Bank Statement Reconciliation, completing and filing GST Returns and client visits.

John McCall Client Accounts Officer - Secondaries
John joined the team in September 2008 in the newly created role of Client Accounts Officer to secondary schools. The main purpose of John’s role is to provide Secondary clients with an accurate, efficient monthly accounting service and a stress free end of year audit process. John will also be drafting financial statements at year end and working alongside clients to identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
Having had a number of years experience in both the IT and Accounting worlds John is keen to apply the benefits gained in both these areas to this position.

Sheree Herewini Data Entry Operator
Sheree joined the team in May 2007. Sheree provides support to Ngaire to ensure accurate and timely input of data into our computer system. Sheree also has responsibility for a range of specific duties including the maintenance of client asset registers.

Mandy Fisher Reception/Data Entry
Mandy Fisher joined the team in May 2007. Mandy will be your first point of contact, either by phone or when calling into the office. Mandy assists the client officers with the keying of high transaction volumes, including the payroll information.
Mandy is also responsible for office administration and ensuring we have all the stationery, printing and domestic needs to service the whole team. Outside the office, Mandy enjoys waterskiing, jet skiing and camping with her family.

Geoff
Ryland Property Manager

Geoff has a considerable depth of understanding of education
property issues. He utilises that experience to the benefit
of clients through his network of contacts within Ministry of
Education, contractor and supply groups. He provides a professional
property administration and management service to schools and
his natural attributes of strong people skills and humour are
valued by everyone. Geoff is a foundation Director of Education
Services Ltd.

Les
Lunny Property Supervisor
Les too has a considerable depth of understanding of Education
property issues. He has extensive experience as a building contractor
also and this background equips him perfectly to provide an
effective contract administration and site supervision of property
works at schools. Clients appreciate the wonderful value they
get from Less service to them. Mr Touch (currently
President NZ Tough Rugby) will always have a story for any situation.

Melanie Ford - Property Administrator
Melanie originally joined ESL to help with the year end audit work in March 2008. Once that task was complete a position was found in our property department – and Melanie has added her flavour to this division to the benefit of the whole property team. Mel enjoys exercising, socialising, jet skiing and being a motorcycle passenger in her spare time.
